Deanne Romero
Deanne Romero is Colorado born and raised. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (Go Bears!) with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and then earned her Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in Educational Leadership. Deanne began sharing her passion for health and physical education as a teacher in 2002; teaching at both the high school and middle school levels. Deanne shares her dedication to the profession presenting fun and engaging Health sessions at various conferences: SHAPE Colorado, Central District, and National conference. Deanne was SHAPE CO Health Education Teacher of the Year in 2015, and SHAPE America the Central District Health Education Teacher of the Year in 2017. Outside of the profession, Deanne loves spending time with her husband and two amazing sons; camping and riding ATV’s are two of her favorite summer activities.
