On behalf of SHAPE Colorado, I am would like to welcome you to the 2019 Annual Convention. This is the 88th time we have come together to share ideas. Here, we can thrive in our profession by learning new ways to benefit our kids, our profession, and our state. We offer quality sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to enrich how you teach Health and Physical Education in Colorado.

The SHAPE Colorado Board has worked extensively to assure your convention experience is a success. Board members will be here as attendees, facilitators and presenters. The Good, Bad and Ugly Facts About Opioids
In 2017 approximately 64,000 people died from opioid overdose, more than guns and car accidents combined. This program will discuss the most common prescribed pain medications, side effects, and statistics which make people particularly vulnerable to opioid abuse and overdose and strategies to educate others about this growing epidemic.
