On behalf of SHAPE Colorado, I am would like to welcome you to the 2019 Annual Convention. This is the 88th time we have come together to share ideas. Here, we can thrive in our profession by learning new ways to benefit our kids, our profession, and our state. We offer quality sessions, workshops, and demonstrations to enrich how you teach Health and Physical Education in Colorado.
The SHAPE Colorado Board has worked extensively to assure your convention experience is a success. Board members will be here as attendees, facilitators and presenters. Skills-Based Health and Project-Based learning are a perfect fit. Health class can be student-centered based on formative assessment IN the lesson so engagement is at its highest. No more lectures/performances by the teacher, let the student show their understanding and skills through effective project-based units.
